The Government has published a consultation document
announcing that the national default retirement age (DRA) of 65 is to be abolished next year
. Under its proposals, no new retirement notices under the statutory procedure will be valid from 6 April 2011. The DRA itself and the statutory retirement procedures will be abolished on 1 October 2011. (...
